About DTEC Electrical

DTEC Electrical is a family-run electrical business led by David Thomson. Based in Largs, we work in homes, rental properties and business sites across Greenock, Inverclyde and North Ayrshire.

David has worked in the trade for more than 30 years. We help with faults, house rewires, fuse board upgrades, sockets, lights and urgent repairs. We look at what you need, talk through the options and agree the job with you before work starts.

Over 30 years in the trade

No two jobs are quite the same. An older home may have wiring changed by past work, while a shop may need the job planned around staff and customers. We check the circuits and listen to what you need before we suggest a repair or upgrade.

DTEC Electrical is fully insured, City & Guilds qualified and 18th Edition trained. Our work follows the BS 7671 rules that apply to the job. It also comes with a 12-month workmanship guarantee. We test our work and give you the right paperwork when it is needed.

What to expect when you call

David will talk through your plans or the fault you have found. If you are dealing with a loss of power, tell us which rooms are affected and when the problem began. For planned work, photos and room plans can help us see what you need. Only take photos if it is safe to do so.

We give you a clear quote for planned work and explain what the price covers before you book. If we find another fault, we talk through what to do next and what it will cost. We also plan when the power needs to be off, so you know what to expect.
